**You First Support Services are looking for an experienced support worker who is looking for a new challenge and wants to fulfil a unique role to meet the needs of the people we support.**

37 hours a week at £14ph + weekend retainer (every other weekend) at £150.

£14ph for each shift worked over the weekend whilst on standby.

This role will include travel county wide across Somerset.

We are recruiting for a **Service Wide Support Worker **who has experience in the following:

- Supporting vulnerable people with a wide range of needs, including autism / learning disabilities / mental health issues
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Epilepsy support
- Carrying out medication competencies and other quality assurance responsibilities

**This role will include**:

- Supporting people with complex needs on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis
- Providing a rapid response to cover support whilst on ‘standby’ every other weekend (retainer payment of £150 per weekend, plus £14ph for each shift worked)
- Completing hands-off tasks such as completing medication competencies within teams and other quality assurance responsibilities.

**Essential requirements include**:

- Full driving licence, access to a reliable car with business insurance
- Level 2 or 3 QCF/NVQ Qualification in Health & Social Care
- Flexible manner with a commitment to team work
- Ability to deal with challenging situations in a calm and effective manner
- Be able to lone work and use own initiative without direct supervision
- Professional manner, with a passion for empowerment, enablement, dignity and respect

**You First Support Services will**:

- Pay 35p per mile for EVERY mile you travel, including commuting miles
- Pay sleep-in duties at £63.00
- Provide you with a permanent contract that provides you with guaranteed 37 hours per week + weekend retainer (every other weekend)
- Provide a full induction, including person specific training and shadow supports
- We operate a 24-hour On Call facility, so you always have access to support in emergency situations
- We provide an occupational pension

- We meet the cost of your DBS check
- You will receive full training and bi-monthly supervision
