Multi-Skilled Slinger - Land & Sea Resources - Rosyth

**Do you have experience in slinging and lifting operations? Are you looking for a varied and challenging role within the Land & Sea Resources Industry?**

We are looking for a highly motivated and safety-conscious Slinger to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient lifting, transporting, and positioning of a variety of plates, units, and equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely lift, turn, and transport plates, units, and equipment using various lifting equipment.
- Conduct daily maintenance checks on lifting equipment, including pre
- and post-use inspections.
- Perform general slinging, fleeting, and transportation tasks.
- Operate forklifts, sideloaders, telehandlers, SPMTs, and MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms).
- Work safely at heights using harnesses and other relevant equipment.
- Assist with planning and organizing lifting operations, liaising with relevant personnel.
- Read and interpret drawings related to lifting, turning, and transportation activities.
- Lead and motivate team members, ensuring adherence to start/stop times, attendance standards, and safety protocols.
- Promote a safe working environment in accordance with company policies and legislation.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and strive for continuous improvement.
- Be proactive in problem-solving and solution-finding.
- Participate in mandatory training to maintain qualifications.

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Minimum of experience in slinging and rigging using various equipment (plate clamps, bulbar clamps, beam clamps, magnets, vacuums, etc.).
- Recognized slinger/signaller qualification (minimum NVQ2 or equivalent).
- Forklift/side loader driving certificates preferred.
- Overhead Crane Certificates (desirable).
- MEWP Training & IPAF certification (desirable).

**To Apply**:
**Please note**: Travel over 45 miles will be compensated at a rate of £45 per day. This role requires working Monday to Friday, with hours extending beyond standard working hours to meet project demands, looking at 37 hours a week. Minimum contract length is 12 weeks, with the possibility of extension.
