**Salary: £120 per day or up to £23k per annum**

**Hours: 42.5 hours/week. Term time only + 5 full training days**

**Job type: Temp to perm, long term**

**Job Role:**

**Responsibilities:**
- deliver pre-planned lessons to students across a variety of key stages whilst implementing the school rewards and behaviour policies
- report back to teachers on progress made throughout covered lessons
- assist in the planning and preparation of classroom
- support Outdoor Education and offsite provision when required
- to support the TA team when teaching cover is not required
- to support the effective implementation of the school behaviour policy by recording incidents, challenging unacceptable behaviour and appropriate use of restraints, sanctions and rewards
- ensure efficiency, effectiveness and safe use of all teaching equipment and materials
- supervise break and lunch periods on a timetabled basis
- contribute to and shape the development of the school through contributing to meetings, consultations and events to ensure the development and progressive improvement of the programmes
- build strong relationships with parents/carers, Local Authorities and other bodies

**Skills, qualifications and experience required:**
- experience of working with pupils in a special educational needs environment
- willingness to work 1:1 with a student on or off-site
- experience in Microsoft Office
- GCSE or equivalent (A* - C)

**Location:**

Based in the lovely area of Oakham (LE15), owning a vehicle is essential due to the location of the school, no public transport is available.
