**Summary of the Role**

UTurn4Support is a charity that is dedicated to educating, supporting, and advising young people on knife crime, county lines and other related youth violence. Our vision is to educate, support and advise victims and potential perpetrators with the intention to reduce victimisation, exploitation, and potential offending.

Promoting self-belief, social inclusion and confidence play a crucial part in a young person’s well-being. This is an active role supporting the individual to access the program of learning and support. Youth mentors are good role models, contribute to the positive development and are integral to the planning and activities of the program and should, therefore, have strong interpersonal skills.

**Qualifications/Experience**

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Deliver high quality activity
- To improve and develop participant physical and mental wellbeing through our programmes.
- To ensure that participants are provided with high levels of support and care to maximise engagement and achievement.
- To be responsible for the supervision of participants in their care and to ensure that those participants are provided with an enjoyable and educationally focused experience.

2. Project Coordination
- To work as part of our team to coordinate and deliver a range of high-quality mentoring and sports programmes.
- To carry out administrative duties as necessary e.g. maintain accurate attendance registers, and the monitoring of individual’s sessional activity
- To assist in the collation and evaluation of management information.

3. Health and Safety
- To ensure that all activities are delivered within a safe, controlled environment.
- To be responsible for supervising participants between the contracted hours and always ensure safety and wellbeing.
- Oversee all programmes in line with best practice guidelines in health/safety, safeguarding and child protection.
- To report any suspicions or reports of abuse against staff or participants.

4. Additional Key Duties
- To engage with children, parents and clients where applicable.
- Prepare session templates & reports to the mentoring supervisor
- To administer First Aid where required and to accurately record and report any injuries or accidents.
- Any other duties considered appropriate to the role.

**Salary**: From £12.00 per hour
