**JOB PURPOSE**:
To work as part of the Despatch team to help achieve the daily Despatch plan whilst adhering to procedures, rules and processes set out by Despatch management and other key functions.

To work in a safe and time effective manner in accordance with health and safety standards and ensuring food safety, hygiene and quality standards are achieved at all times.

**JOB CONTEXT**:
Reporting directly to the Despatch Shift Manager, working alongside factory colleagues and key disciplines i.e., Despatch Shift Manager and Health and Safety Manager.

You will be expected to demonstrate sound communication and organisational skills to achieve the planned Despatch levels.

**Paperwork**:Complete, store / deliver relevant paperwork according to procedure to allow traceability etc.

**Procedures**:Working to strict manufacturing, health and safety and technical procedures to ensure standards and safe working is achieved.

**Despatch Plans**:Working in accordance to Despatch plans to meet both internal and external orders

**Objectives**:

- To ensure that the safety, quality and legality of the products are achieved and maintained to the highest standards at all times.
- To carry out the daily duties of the Despatch department to meet the requirements of the Despatch schedule established by management, whilst working in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, food safety legislation and quality standards specified by our customers.

**KEY ACTIVITIES**:

- To complete the requirements of the daily picking sheet distributed by the Despatch Team Leader/Supervisor.

If, under any circumstances the picking sheet cannot be completed, this must be reported to the relevant person.
- Undertake stock rotation, thus dispatching finished stock in the correct picking order i.e. the oldest first.
- Communicate any stock shortages to the Despatch supervisor after completing the orders of each customer.
- Load and unload products onto and from vehicles as instructed by a more senior member of the Despatch

department.
- To assist during internal / external audits as required
- To assist in daily stock takes
- Operate and conduct all duties in a safe and appropriate manner.
- To ensure that the FLT daily check sheet is carried out.
- Housekeeping standards are maintained and adhered to.

**Hours of Work**: 4on-4off from 17.00pm - 05.00am

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £15.78 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
