**Senior Systems Analyst, 2yr FTC**

3 days on site in High Wycombe, 2 days work from home
Experience working on live systems and providing analysis and support to those systems.
Essential they have excellent knowledge/ experience of payroll systems - ideally Unit4 Agresso/ Business World, but others acceptable
**Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role**:
- Adding quality to the delivery of digital transformation projects by developing expertise about a selection of systems and identifying opportunities for business process optimisation to improve organisational efficiency.
- Assessing how well an existing or new piece of software, system or hardware fits the business needs of the University as part of a project or a standalone task.
- Working with users at all levels within the business, identifying and documenting user requirements and producing the relevant specifications for enhancements ensuring that business needs are translated accurately into system requirements.
- Running requirements gathering and solution design workshops, exploiting developments in system use and functionality to deliver improvements and efficiencies in business processes.
- Evaluating enhancements to the software ensuring effective exploitation of the software, whilst ensuring the process match the requirements of the business.
- Working collaboratively with the rest of the Systems Management Team and other stakeholders to support work that is being undertaken to design a solution or business process that will be supported by the University’s core systems.
- Developing an in-depth knowledge of end-to-end business processes and system functionality and contributing to the decision making about business process improvements and solution based on analysis work as appropriate.
- Providing second and third level support to staff for the organisations systems, ensuring that relevant Digital and Technical Services (DTS) Directorate Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met.
- Leading, planning, testing, and implementing system enhancements and new interfaces, liaising with stakeholders, suppliers and developers to ensure on-time delivery and user satisfaction using the appropriate project methodologies.
- Co-ordinating the gathering, cleansing and validation of data for system enhancements.
- Working with the Head of Systems Management to ensure appropriate planning, communications, consultation, documentation, and other relevant governance is maintained for project work.
- Preparing, coordinating, managing, and delivering Unit Testing, Integrated System Testing (IST) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Preparing system design, policy, procedure, and process documentation as required and requested.
- Assisting in the development of training materials, including online self-service training modules and hard copy training materials, and the delivery of train the trainer and end user training for new systems or services as requested.
- Supporting the Head of Systems Management to run and manage user groups as required to guide the on-going development of systems.
