**Job Title**: Sample Receipt and Labelling Specialist

**Job Type**:Permanent

**Shift**:
Tuesday-Friday 14.00 pm -22.00pm

Saturday 10.00 am -18.00pm

**Job Location**:Cramlington

As a Sample Receipt and Labelling Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for samples arriving at the Cramlington site. The job holder is primarily responsible for sample receipt and sample labelling. They will pay a key part in ensuring customer samples are received in full and without any issues. Providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of our products and services.

**Key Accountabilities;**
- Adhere to the Customer Service Standards and work towards agreed team KPIs.
- Accurately follow standard operating procedures for the registration, receipt, labelling and storage of samples.
- Provide clients with required consumables, including standing orders, and Adhoc requests
- Deal with all extra/missing samples from the previous days on a morning.
- Make sure all shelf life abuse samples are dealt with on a morning.
- Ensure all extra and missing samples are highlighted to Sample Registration Manager and customer.
- Store samples in appropriate locations/conditions
- Record all customer activity in our LIMs/Q Pulse database in a timely manner.
- Ensure all subcontracting samples are logged, labelled and boxed within agreed timescales to deliver TAT for customers.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Good planning and organising skills
- Good communication skills

**Desirable**:

- Scientific background
- Minimum of HND or equivalent experience.
- Experience of working within the food industry
- Experience of AIS LIMS
