This is an exciting opportunity for a **Workshop Controller**/Team Manager to join our team.

As **Workshop Controller**/Team Manager,you’ll play a part in keeping some of the UK’s biggest brands on the road, you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and service delivery of a busy VMU, working as the link between the transport team and the workshop.

**What you’ll do**
- Ensure that the workshop operates in line with our safe systems of work, and all legislative and H&S processes are followed.
- Assist with management all KPI’s including management of direct and indirect costs, productivity & compliance.
- Support the continuous improvement of processes and operating practices within the department.
- Build rapport, develop trust and respect from both internal and external customers
- Provide daily operational reports and status updates as required
- Management and control of all parts use within the workshop.
- Support the delivery of plans to plans to drive improved engagement with your team.
- Ensure that the Customer’s Operator Licence obligations are met.
- To undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the VMU.

**What you’ve got**
- Experience of workshop management and operational procedures and standards.
- Experience working with or for major commercial vehicle manufacturers.
- Experience of people management.
- Understanding of Workshop operations and VOSA's "Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness."
- Experience of managing and improving Key Performance Indicators.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Balances the day to day thinking and can assess the commercial implications.
- Demonstrates commercial awareness.
- IT literate.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£41,000.00 per year
