**The Vacancy**
**MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE**
Responsible for one or more customer accounts, accepting orders from internal and external customers, managing orders for all product streams, co-ordinating with central De La Rue functions (such as Central planning, commercial, sales and supply chain teams) to deliver timely management of orders, as well as building strong relationships with external key customers. It is essential that all work is managed in accordance with Company policy and procedures
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To always act and behave in a way compliant with all De La Rue company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environmental Health and Safety, ethics and codes of conduct
- Housekeeping (working to 5s standards ensuring areas of responsibility are clean and tidy).
- Input details into the Shipping Log to provide notice of collections to site.
- Arrange security escorts and transport compliant with the required security level for each shipment.
- Communicate shipment details with other sites, notifying delays and changes in advance.
- Ensure that shipments are arranged at the correct security level and that all control measures are in place.
- Excellent knowledge of products and customers requirements.
- Work closely with planning, sales, security auditors and packing to achieve OTIF.
- Produce, review and update SOPs
- Manage own areas of the electronic filing system, keeping records, documents and folders up to date and accurate.
- Review customer complaints and input into problem solving activities/investigations.
- Optimise transportation and escorts, making full use of carrying capacity and the Milk Run to reduce costs and the number of deliveries.
- Consolidation of loads, review shipping options and costs through the 3PL transport provider.
- Check and authorise invoice payments monthly, log shipments onto costing spreadsheet.
- Invoice verification for payment to correct cost centres and accounts.
- Manage communication of Order progress to central De La Rue functions and Customers
- Raise Sales Orders & CORs in line with SLAs.
- Responsible for the processing and maintaining Sales orders and related customer correspondence
- Plan and book collections in line with the manufacturing plan and customer delivery schedule.
- Ensure OTIF orders are despatched and at the correct security level.
- Maintain flexibility to react to changes in the manufacturing and delivery plan.
- Verify and communicate shipping information to the 3PL provider and customer.
- Key stakeholder at twice daily OTIF meeting, escalating issues in a timely manner.
- Despatch orders off the ERP system, raising customer invoices on SAP ByD.
- Liaising with the site functional department to ensure successful progress of the order process, typically the Process Leaders, Finance, Quality, Planning and Technical teams.

**PRE-REQUISITES**
- Proven knowledge of Shipping management of finished goods.
- Shipping of products globally using road, sea and air transport (known consignor knowledge)
- Invoicing and freight accruals using SAP ByD or a similar system.
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel, Word, ERP.
- Excellent numeracy skills.
- Experience in busy fast paced manufacturing environment desirable.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Excellent communicator who is able to organise themselves and their workload on a daily basis.
- Forge and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and customers, including arranging meetings and visits to discuss improvements and complaints.
