Neonatal Ward Clerk

The neonatal Unit is a Local Neonatal Unit providing care to babies greater than 27 weeks gestation. We have 26 cots in total, 4 designated as Intensive Care, 5 as High Dependency, and, 17 Special Care. The transitional care on the postnatal ward has an average of 6 babies a day. We have a strong belief in family-centred care and work closely with parents to enable them to have the confidence to care for their baby on discharge.Our neonatal service works closely with both maternity and paediatric colleagues and has established good working relationships with other neonatal units in South West London.

To work as part of a team of clerical officers within the Family Services Directorate providing 24/7 cover to ensure the efficient running of the Labour, Antenatal and Postnatal Wards, for the support of inpatient and outpatient services.

To ensure all Patient Administration System (PAS) procedures are followed and data entered accurately.
