We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Booking Co-ordinator or to join the Admin Hub for the Children and Young People's (CYP) Services. This is a newly created position due to the work on the Written Statement of Action (WSoA) where Community Paediatrics work to build a multi-disciplinary team to tackle long waiting lists and improve care.

The CYP Admin Hub provides support for services working with children, young people and their families in the community including community paediatrics, integrated therapies, school nursing, health visiting and the immunisations team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who wants to make a difference to the lives of children and young people in Buckinghamshire.

The CYP Admin Hub offers a friendly, supportive working environment along with flexible and varied working opportunities. Clinical, operational and administrative staff work closely together to provide positive outcomes for the children, young people and families accessing our services.

Based in Amersham the position will provide high quality administrative support mainly to the therapies and community paediatrics services.
- To be responsible for identifying and escalating any issues to the Service Management Team which compromises following the Access Policy or bookings according to clinical urgency e.g. capacity issues, sickness, annual leave.
- Proactively manage the pathway to avoid breaches and take steps to resolve any issues, working with the Community Paediatrics Admin and Service Management Team
- Ensure outcomes of clinic attendance have been accurately recorded by the Booking Team and follow-up where outcome forms have not been received in a timely manner according to Trust Guidelines.
- Maintain an accurate and up to date filing system electronic, ensuring accuracy of patient case notes.
- Action any change in patient’s personal details, ensuring electronic data is kept up to date.
- Schedule new and follow up appointments, ensuring that capacity is proactively and efficiently used. This includes booking patients into the right clinic to ensure that they are seen by the most appropriate clinician first time and for subsequent follow ups
- Participate in weekly tracking & escalation meetings, highlighting any issues with patient pathways which may cause them to breach waiting times
