Office Assistant

**Description**:
In this head office role based at South Downs Nurseries, you will be responsible for the procurement and distribution of general supplies for all of our garden centres.
Main responsibilities:
- Managing order systems for stationary and cleaning materials, staff uniforms and other general supplies.
- Liaising with suppliers and obtaining quotes to ensure the best price.
- Processing orders from branches.
- Managing the secure storage of general supplies, cleaning materials, uniforms and stationery etc.
- Monitoring branch requests for nonessential goods, and reporting suspected inefficiencies to your line manager.
**Prerequisites**:
You must be organised with a good attention to detail, numerate and IT literate.
Although this role is predominantly office based, it does include some ‘picking and packing’ of stored items for distribution to our other centres.
Previous experience in an administration role is preferred, but full training will be provided.
**Duration**:
Approximately 20 hours a week over 4 days
