**We are looking for a SENIOR SALES ASSISTANT**

**Location: Glasgow**

**Hours: 37.5hrs per week (5 days per week, between Monday - Sunday)**

**Pay rate: £11.66 per hour + bonuses**

**Purpose**

To ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales and service, including maintaining outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising standards. To assist the branch manager and sales team with the sales and store processes. To constantly to keep up to date with the latest technology.

**Goals and Objectives**:

- Ensure the store is open during the advertised trading hours.
- Work with the team to ensure all policies are applied at all times.
- Help increase the company’s growth in sales through sales maximisation.
- Work with the branch manager to ensure the health and safety of the store.
- Take complete ownership of the store when the manager is not in.
- Produce the daily banking reports, investigate and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Maintain stock accuracy through PI checks and cross checks of receiving’s.
- Motivate the team through the sharing of results and positive actions.
- Create rotas to optimise staff availability at peak times.
- Monitor click and collects, back orders, unselected orders etc to invoice as soon as possible.
- Display stock in the best possible way to aid sales.
- Work from leads and requests generated from the team and yourself.
- Increase awareness of repairs and rentals.
- Ascertain customers’ needs and wants.
- Recommend and demonstrate items that match customers’ needs.
- Welcome and greet customers warmly, both in store and on the phone.
- Help train and mentor new starters in product knowledge, selling skills and store operations and procedures.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Retail sales experience, preferably in the photographic and video market.
- Practical experience of using photographic and video equipment.
- Confidence and ability to demonstrate equipment.
- Fluent in English with an excellent standard of written and verbal communication.
- Excellent maths skills and be able to solve problems.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service focused.
- Enthusiasm for social media and an understanding of networks and trends.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Quick decision making, coupled with the ability to thrive in a friendly, energetic environment that values innovation and embraces change.
- A person with a passion for creativity, especially in the photographic arts.
