Property Maintenance Surveyor
**Property Maintenance Surveyor**
**Salary**: £34,000 to £39,000 per annum (dependent on experience) plus benefits (pro rata for part time)
**Location**:Leatherhead, Surrey
**Full Time**:39 hours per week
**About us**
Each year, we provide housing and support for more than 1,800 socially excluded and vulnerable people across Surrey, parts of Berkshire, West Sussex, and South-West London.
We make a difference to clients by enabling them to feel valued and supported. We have a strong sense of social responsibility and believe everyone should be able to live independent and fulfilling lives. Our values - respect, empowerment, responsibility, and excellence - guide everything we do.
**The role**
We have been transforming lives for more than half a century, over this time we have successfully grown our services and developed strong relationships with our stakeholders, partners, and suppliers. We have ambitious plans, and we aim to continue to strengthen our activity and grow to support more clients in the future.
We currently manage just over 900 units (living accommodation). This is a new and varied role within the Asset Management Team, and we are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in maintaining properties. Duties will include conducting various inspections across our stock portfolio to ensure our properties provide a safe and secure environment for our residents to live in. You will be required to diagnose and specify remedial works or repairs, including voids, and ensure they are carried out to the required standard and timescales. There will be regular contact and liaison with our In-House Repairs Team, Transform staff, external contractors, and residents, so good communication skills are required.
The role will involve frequent travel across our stock portfolio, so you will need to have suitable transportation. This is also a hybrid role, and will be mainly based out of the office, but there will be a need to be in our various offices as and when required.
**We are ideally looking for**
- Experience of property maintenance, repairs and a good understanding of property design and construction.
- Can identify and diagnose property defects, repairs required or issues around health and safety.
- Can produce specifications, manage contractors, and ensure works are carried out to the required standard.
- Aware of property legislation and standards relating to social and supported housing
- Can organise their own workload and provide regular updates on progress.
- Good IT skills as this is a key part of the role.
- Good communication skills, especially dealing with staff and residents face to face.

**Why work at Transform**
Transform is a place where all colleagues are valued. We want to make sure colleagues have the flexibility they need to balance their personal lives and do well at work. We focus on outcomes and are open to different ways of working including flexible hours where possible depending on the needs of the service and department.
Our benefits are great too and include**:
- 28 days annual leave per annum, plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
- An additional 1 day (pro rata) per annum wellbeing day
- A defined contribution pension scheme
- Training and development opportunities
- Interest-free staff loans
- Flexible working options
- The opportunity to buy or sell up to five days annual leave per holiday year
- Life assurance cover
**Other things you need to know**
At Transform we celebrate diversity and know that it is critical for our success. We work hard to make sure we’re inclusive, so we want to hear from anyone who is great at what they do and who shares our values.
