**Pastoral Mentor - High Wycombe**

We are seeking a Pastoral Mentor to work in a fantastic Alternate Provision setting for students aged between 11-16. In this role you will be responsible for supporting students in the school on a one to one basis and in small groups with improving their mental well-being, putting together behaviour strategies and being a reliable adult for them to depend on.

To be considered for this role you must have had previous school based experience, or at the minimum you will have worked with children in some capacity so that you can be considered for other roles within a school environment.

**The School**:

- Provide high-quality, supportive, and inspirational teaching to young people at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Their bespoke approach to alternative provision supports students to either return to mainstream education or progress into a positive destination when leaving
- Ensure a truly rounded curriculum that is delivered in a nurturing and supportive way
- Proud to work with young people aged between 11-16 to help them to achieve their potential
- Take the time to get to know their young people, understand their challenges and support their aspirations

**The Role**:

- Supporting students in the school on a 1:1 basis
- Work with pupils in small groups with improving their mental well-being
- Putting together behaviour strategies
- Promote a positive impact on children’s progress and achievement, by minimising barriers to learning

**Requirements**:

- Available to work 08:30 to 16:00, Monday to Friday
- Have previous experience working in a school environment is essential
- Be available to start immediately
- Either live in High Wycombe, or live within a commutable distance
