**Job Description
Apprentice Grade (Yr1 - Salary £12,014.00 per annum and Yr2 - NMW for age) 24 Months Fixed Term Contract**

We, in the Havering Social Care Academy have verifiable knowledge in supporting apprentices. We are currently looking to add to our team someone who would like to gain a qualification and experience in the field of Workforce Development. You will be required and given the tools needed, to work remotely with the Havering Social Care Academy (HSCA), but need to know that you will also be part of meetings and events that take place at Havering Town Hall and other local venues.

You will report to the Havering Social Care Academy Workforce Development Manager - who works across both Adult Social Care & Childrens Social Care, but will be supported in your role by a wider management team.

You will be expected to work 36 hours per week Monday to Friday (to include 20% off the job apprenticeship training)
- Working with the Havering Social Care Academy (HSCA) Workforce Development team, including opportunities throughout the time they are with us to work with children’s & Adults Social Care teams to gain additional knowledge in the Social Care Arena.
- To support the Havering Social Care Academy (HSCA) Workforce Development Manager in the delivery of projects to support Learning and Development that will support the improvement of outcomes for Children, Adults, families, service users and carers in Havering
- To ensure work is completed in accordance with agreed timescales, targets and service standards.
- To enter and maintain appropriate records onto the relevant systems, assisting with the production of statistics and management information as required.

Within the role we will expect you to;
- Maintain records of all courses commissioned in accordance with procurement procedures
- Process bookings using the Councils current operating system
- Maintain secure and accurate records of all tenders and communication with all training providers
- Prepare amendments/variations to documents and process documentation to meet deadlines.
- Raise purchase orders via council’s procurement system. Facilitate payment of invoices.
- Process records; monitor input on the corporate systems to ensure information is kept up to date.
- Communicate details of training provision to Leadership, Management, Staff, external partners, commissioned services and service users where appropriate.

In addition to meeting the performance requirements of the role, an apprentice is required to have good time management, analytical thinking, and good interpersonal skills; have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities; and demonstrate a growth mind-set and passion for learning. They will be required to spend 20% of their time off the job learning.
