**About the role**:
It's an exciting time to join the Operational Excellence Team here at AXA UK where we've an opportunity for an individual to join the team as an Operational Excellence Practitioner. Reporting into the Head of Operational Excellence, you'll work with business areas across AXA UK & Ireland to solve business problems, define and analyse the current state, leading to the design and delivery of measurable improvements

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, such as part-time or condensed hours, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Utilise continuous improvement techniques to identify waste and root causes of inefficiency to create an approach covering problem statements, scope, value, and business relevance and opportunity
- Build and maintain good business knowledge and stakeholder relationships across the business
- Lead workshops and coordinate idea generation methods to identify, consider and prioritise options to address current issues
- Act as a business advocate to ensure change plans and activity meets business needs
- Collate relevant data, leading to analysis and fact-based decision making through DMAIC methodology
- Support in the building of continuous improvement capability across various AXA insurance business areas, mentor new trainees and support individuals' project delivery
- Provide advice and support to the business area on implementation and approach
- Own the problem or opportunity from pre-define through to embedding the solution

**About you**:
**What we’re looking for**:

- Lean Sigma Green belt/Lean Practitioner accredited
- Proven analytical techniques and quantitative skills
- Good decision-making ability
- Facilitation and influencing skills
- Proficient use of MS office and Sigma XL/Minitab analytical software
- Awareness of Project Management disciplines and the end-to-end project lifecycle
- Excellent customer focus

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
