An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Workforce Administrator to be part of our casual worker services at Imperial College.

Imperial College centralised all casual worker activity with a newly formed team in 2020 which entailed all casual worker onboarding activities, query management and payroll collation.

The Temporary Workforce Administrator will be responsible for business partnering with their designated departments acting as a single point of contact/expert source of advice on a wide range of complex issues relating to the casual workers including co-ordination and management of onboarding, compliance, immigration, payroll, contractual processes, and effective administrative support.

In addition to managing the end-to-end Casual Worker process the Temporary Workforce Administrator will be responsible for the Honorary and Visiting Researcher Association process ensuring compliance with UKVI and ATAS.

Employees in this position will provide support for complex enquiries relating to the full Casual Worker and Honorary Association process from all stakeholders across the University.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Perform right-to-work checks for all new workers across all visa types ensuring relevant additional documentation is collated and their engagement is compliant in line with UKVI legislation.
- Be responsible for performing follow up right-to-work checks for all existing workers ensuring any change to immigration status is recorded and managed appropriately based on their engagement.
- To request Employer Checking Service checks and input Positive Verification Notice expiry dates on the HR system, escalating any Negative Verification Notices.
- Provide advice on complex queries relating to immigration, employment law and process to internal and external stakeholders.

**Essential requirements**:

- Experience of dealing with managers, the public and other individuals in a professional and sensitive manner
- Current knowledge of customer service best practice
- Understanding of casual work, casual worker processes, payroll and pension policies, processes, and procedures
- Experience of working with Performance Indicators or Performance Objectives
- Experience of working in a position such as HR Assistant, HR Compliance Administrator, Payroll and Pensions Administrator or similar
- Experience of providing high quality, customer-focussed service, and advice to a wide range of customers, in a busy and diverse frontline customer service environment
- Experience of using casual worker systems or similar (e.g. HR recruitment systems)
