**Contract/Hours**:Full time hours 37 a week 9am to 5pm. Monday to Friday.Flexibility is required in those hours as some evenings and weekends may be required. (very few)

**About the Role**:
You will work within a team to manage a family support caseload and will work independently to develop outreach services.You will be instrumental in delivering parenting programmes to targeted groups to help parents / carers develop greater understandingof their child's social, emotional, intellectual and health needs.You will have an understanding of confidentiality and will hold the child at the centre of everything you do.

We are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified individual who ispassionate about improving the lives of children and families at the earliest stage, who can work in a whole family way and demonstrate that they are able to engage with challengingand complex families of children and young people aged 0-19 years.
**Youwillmake a difference by**:
As a Family Support Practitioner you'll be:

- Providing family support to families as required, with the agreement and supervision of your line manager.
- Working in partnership with parents/carers to help them develop greater understanding of their child's social, emotional, intellectual and health needs.
- Initiating, involving and maintaining participation of local parents/carers in all aspects of the Children's Centre services by encouraging and enabling parents/carers.

**What You'll Bring**:
Our job description for the Family Support Practitioner outlines the requirements of the role but the ‘must-haves' are:

- NNEB, NVQ Level 3 in Early Years and Education or equivalent.
- Experience of managing cases, in accordance with agreed procedures and completing assessments, planning and reviews to ensure positive outcomes.
- Working knowledge of an outcome based approach to planning, delivering and reviewing services.
- A driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable.
