**SUMMARY**

The purpose of this contract is to provide Network Control Center Services support to USAFE A6 and other USAFE units. This specific role is to provide Cyber Transport, LAN/WAN, and Network Infrastructure support to the 48th Communication Squadron.

**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Be responsible for voice, video, data transport systems within the confines of the base along with Government technicians.
- Operate, maintain and configure routers/switches/voice systems/Voice over IP (VoIP)/Video bridges, ITNs, communications closet wiring.
- Perform internal base campus network fault notification and management.
- Perform DNS/DHCP IP administration; install and perform administration on base campus wireless network devices.
- Perform network management planning; perform active network monitoring.
- Install and perform administration on base network infrastructure.
- Perform router/switch preventive maintenance inspections to include IOS upgrades.
- Program and administer telephony switches; to include VoIP.
- Upgrade, integrate, install, configure, test, maintain, dismantle and turn in data and video communication networks—both hardware and software.
- Provide network infrastructure support (technical control).
- Installation, repair and management of network infrastructure.
- Operate, maintain and configure voice, data and video routers, hubs, switches, ITNs and bridges to interface with commercial, DoD and coalition networks.
- Control and configure internal routers/switches and network infrastructure devices.
- Maintain and administer network (voice, video and data) management, planning and circuit databases, records and forms.
- Interpret sketches and layout drawings for placement of distribution systems.
- Review, recommend and implement changes to Communications
- Computer Systems Installations Records (CSIR), technical data, engineering drawings and equipment wiring diagrams.
- Review and maintain operational measurement reports and analyze network utilization.
- Ensure equipment and components meet installation practice technical order and accepted commercial installation specifications.
- Perform active network monitoring. Operate, monitor, secure and control the physical, data link, network and transport layers of the network.
- Coordinate and perform design, configuration, operation, restoration and improvements.
- Analyze capabilities and performance, identify problems, take corrective action, operate cryptographic equipment and fabricates cable assemblies.
- Identify and make operational adjustments to tech control equipment.
- Maintain and monitor all aspects of the LAN.
- Assume operational control of the wireless network and provide network service and maintenance.
- Perform Circuit Control Office (CCO) duties. Maintain paper, digital, or automated circuit history folders for all active circuits, trunks and equipment.
- Ensure scheduled service dates for circuits are coordinated with DISA or circuit owners
- Coordinate with all servicing communications facilities for circuit restoration and fault isolation.

- DoD IAT Level II Certification.

**Education, Background, and Years of Experience**
- Proven experience in cyber transport, LAN/WAN, and networking infrastructure or other employee service roles.
- Ability to monitor, diagnose, operate and resolve all levels of issues pertaining to network infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills.
- 3-5 years of experience in an Enterprise level environment, maintaining networks, switches, configurations, technical controls, monitoring, and coordinating the data link and network transport layers.

**ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**

**Required Skills**:

- Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently.
- Strong working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products & Remedy Ticket System.
- Extensive knowledge with Microsoft Server Operating System software.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN fundamentals, integration, configuration, maintenance, and video capabilities.
- Strong working knowledge of network architecture and configuration management.
- Ability to identify issues within networks while maintaining technical control (to include Geographically Separated Locations).

**Preferred Skills**
- Technical experience with networking, databases, web development, architecture, integration, video, voice, and data transport systems and user support.
- Experience with VMware virtualization environments.
