**VACANCY: HR Generalist**

**LOCATION**:Maidstone, Kilmarnock, Nationwide**

Glenfield Invicta’s end to end Project Solutions provide market leading valve and penstock engineering excellence across a multitude of water and non-water infrastructure projects.

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join us operating across our 2 Glenfield sites, Maidstone and Kilmarnock and across the UK. You will work closely with the leadership team and the wider group HR to support the business strategy. The team prides itself on supporting and driving our employees personal and professional wellbeing to ensure they can maximise their full potential. You will support and deliver a first-class HR service. You will be responsible for delivering a full generalist service to all employees within Glenfield Invicta.

The successful HR Generalist will be visible across the company and able to build and form strong working relationships across all levels of employees to deliver an effective HR Service.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Recruitment & Selection:

- Manage process, conduct interviews with managers
- Plan and deliver formal corporate inductions
- Produce correspondence relating to offers of employment
- Process contractual changes i.e. change of pay, transfers etc.
- Appraisals
- Administer process in conjunction with the Group HR Team
- Monitor probationary periods & make recommendations
- Absence Management:

- Record & report up on employee absences, manage long-term & short-term issues as & when required.
- Learning & Development:

- Support the wider teams with identifying and organising training
- Produce correspondence relating to maternity/ paternity/ parental leave schedules’ annual leave quotas, process starters & leavers.
- Maintain HR electronic data, manual personnel files & data records; ensure all records comply with the GDPR.
- Process contractual changes i.e. change of pay, transfers etc.
- Conduct Exit interviews
- Establish and maintain a strong partnership with key stakeholders
- Drive a high-performance culture through talent management, performance management, and leadership development
- Advise, recommend, implement and educate policies & procedures to guide the business to ensure “best-in class” HR practices are in place. Drive accountability to line managers to ensure compliance
- Driving accountability to line managers to ensure compliance
- Ensure all line managers have a full understanding of HR processes
- To be first point of escalation for all queries and employee relations cases
- Liaise with Payroll to ensure relevant information provided in timely manner to meet deadlines.
- Support and upskill managers with conducting disciplinary & grievance procedures/performance management.
- Advise, recommend & implement policies & procedures in line with employment law recommendations & Group standards.
- Produce reports: Monthly Manning Reports, HR Report, Sickness reports.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Previous experience working in a HR Generalist level role, preferably within service and installation
- CIPD qualified; minimum level 3
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Demonstrable employee relations experience
- Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels to include senior stakeholders
- Excellent organisation / time management skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- First class verbal and written communications skills
- Maintain absolute confidentiality and exercise discretion

**WORKING HOURS**:

- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday - Friday 0830-1700
