Simon Baker by elevate your sole is an independent footwear retailer in Llandudno and is part of a chain of premium independent shoe shops operating in North Wales. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service with a personal touch.
We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, reliable and flexible Senior Shop Assistant/Sales Advisor to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday), with other hours being rota’d during the remainder of the week. Our store opening hours are Monday - Saturday (9.30am - 5.30pm) and Sunday (11am - 4pm).
Responsibilities will include (not definitive):
- Working on the shop floor - proactively helping our customers to find the perfect pair of shoes and encouraging them to join our loyalty scheme
- Acting as a key holder/supervisor, with responsibility for opening up and closing down the store and being responsible for the effective running of the store in the managers absence (a shared responsibility with other key holders)
- Handling cash (including processing sales/returns through the till) and conducting till checks
- Dealing effectively with customer complaints/enquiries/returns
- Supporting with all other shop based tasks as required such as receiving goods in, window dressing, processing of online orders
- Should have experience in a customer facing retail capacity (preferably as a key holder & with supervisory experience)
- Must be totally reliable with an exemplary absence record
- Should enjoy working on the shop floor and communicating with customers
- Should be flexible in terms of hours (for example there will be a requirement to cover holidays/absences of others from time to time)
- Should be passionate about people and sales
- Should have excellent customer service skills
- Should be approachable and responsible with great problem solving/complaint handling capabilities
