The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Technical Group Lead at 3M Bangor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:
- Developing the technical road map for the plant aligned with key business objectives- Leading a small Process Engineering team to execute and deliver on the technical road map through effective project management & innovative problem solving- Hands on project ownership for key technical improvement activity- Leading a small quality team to maintain and advance our Quality systems to ensure customer satisfaction- Liaising with customers, sales reps, and business leads on quality complaints / queries- Joining and supporting the site leadership team to drive continuous improvement

In this role you will be responsible for the personal development of our Process Engineers as they progress their career. The role also provides excellent development opportunities for you. You will be joining the leadership team. As such you will be influential in site wide decision making as we work together to fulfil our obligations to keep our employees safe, be a responsible partner in the local community, deliver operational excellence and continue to satisfy our customers.

Your Skills and Expertise- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering field from an accredited institution- Experience of supervising people in a technical, manufacturing environment- Demonstrable examples of technical solutions to manufacturing / process challenges in previous roles (successful technical projects, problem solving, kaizen activity)- Experience in Lean Continuous Improvement methodologies (Kaizen, GEMBA, standard work etc.)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include- Technical strategic planning and execution- Problem Solving / Kaizen- Quality Assurance / Auditing experience

Location - 3M Bangor, Northern Ireland

Remuneration details: €high-reaching dependent on skills and experience plus excellent benefits package

Travel: May include infrequent travel to other 3M facilities or customer locations
