**Position Overview**: We are pleased to have an exciting opportunity for an Employment Relations Advisor to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our growing organisation, you will collaborate closely with our in-house legal team and specialist advisors, ensuring a high quality service delivery to our members.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage a diverse caseload of employment matters, providing expert guidance and assistance to MDS members.
- Offer comprehensive employment law advice and HR support to members via telephone and written correspondence.
- Prepare for and represent members in meetings as required, ensuring their interests are safeguarded.
- Review employment queries and provide guidance on contractual issues, pay matters, policies, and procedures.
- Handle grievance, capability, and conduct proceedings, including the preparation of statements and disclosure bundles.
- Contribute actively to weekly Case Conferences, encouraging collaborative problem-solving within the advisory team.

**Requirements**:

- Essential:_
- Qualifications or equivalent experience in employee relations, HR, CIPD, or related field.
- Demonstrable experience in advising employees on HR/employment issues and representing them effectively.
- Prior experience in advising and representing healthcare professionals within the NHS.
- Familiarity with NHS contracts and processes, including AfC, GP contracts, and NHS Commissioning.
- Strong understanding of HR practices and up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex cases and workload efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with a client-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and strong IT skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and independently with self-motivation.
- Desirable:_
- Training or experience in conflict resolution and mediation.

**Salary and Benefits**:

- Salary: From £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
- Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
- Expected Hours: 18 - 35 per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, No weekends

**Experience**:

- NHS experience: 1 year (required)
- Case management: 1 year (required)

**Licence/Certification**:

- CIPD or equivalent (required)
