Bastion Insurance is an award-winning specialist mobile phone and gadget insurance distributer. We sell insurance direct to consumers and wholesale to other insurance brokers via delegated authority arrangements with our insurers. Current turnover is £8 million with strong growth plans over the next few years.

We are a small friendly team, based in Oxford (OX4). While not corporate in style, we value competence and professionalism, and match that with the speed to act and change of a smaller company.

**Role & responsibilities**:
Primary responsibilities:

- Ensuring that data from all sources is received and processed in a timely and secure manner, with mínimal manual intervention.

Specifics:

- Assisting new partners in the “onboarding” process, clearly communicating requirements and responding to queries.
- Testing technical functionality of new software releases; liaising with our software developers.
- Setting up new insurance schemes and pricing in our database.
- Other data admin tasks to support new business sales, renewals, customer service and reporting.
- Constantly seeking to improve data quality and reliability, through auditing and improvements to processes.
- Administering our SFTP server.
- Documenting data sharing and processing arrangements and ensuring that they are fit for purpose.
- Reviewing system security and suggesting and assisting in the implementation of improvements.
- Monitoring data imports and exports and addressing the underlying cause of any issues.
- PowerBI and other report creation
- Wider responsibility (eg support; specifying changes) for our customer “line of business” software

**Essential skills & experience**

Experience of working with large volumes of data.
A process-driven way of working with good technical mind.

Keen to work in a small and close-knit team,
History of maintaining productive relationships with key internal and external “stakeholders

**Preferred skills**
Educated to degree level
Creating or running SQL Server queries
Experience of working within a regulated environment.

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
