This programme needs to reflect the particular needs of people who are dying and those close to them and build skills and confidence in effective communication. The Professional Learning team has a historical programme focused on sensitive conversations which needs updating and developing. Opportunity exists to build on this or suggest a new approach that encompasses virtual, in-person and on-demand teaching, that allows for incremental learning over time on the part of the learner, and is accessible by a variety of health and social care professional groups.
