As the Income Auditor, you will make sure that all daily revenues of the Hotel and all F&B outlets is accounted for accurately and in a timely manner.

Some of the duties are:

- Audit Hotel’s daily sales and tally them with Opera for accuracy
- Audit F&B and all other hotel revenue generated and ensure the accuracy
- Validate and upload daily revenue and statistics journal into accounting software, ensuring all revenues are captured and in balance
- Ensure timely preparation and distribution of daily revenue report
- Preparation of weekly sales summary report for Director of Finance
- Review all discounts and allowances and ensure they are properly authorized and to report all deviations from prevailing policies and procedures
- Reconcile all cash and card transactions and make any corrections where necessary
- Reconcile and monitor all BACS receipts from the customers and liaise with Front Office and Reservations departments to ensure timely postings
- Check the authenticity of all FO paid outs
- Perform month end closing and ensure that the trial balance agree with general ledger
- Responding to customer queries regarding the transactions
- Calculating and analysing Travel Agents’ commissions on monthly basis
- Assisting the FC in preparation of monthly management account
- Reconciliation of Rooms and F&B Service charge and Gratuities
- Carry out any other accounting work assigned by Director of Finance or Financial Controller
- Work closely with Front Office and Food & Beverage to ensure postings are accurate and any discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
- Monitoring of Accounts Receivable
- Ideally experienced in a similar position (minimum 2 years) and be familiar with hotel Income audit policies
- Current experience within a hotel or similar environment
- Knowledge of Opera is desirable
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge and experience of accounting procedures
- Some experience in other aspects of hotel finance beneficial (AP / Management Accounts / F&B cost control)
- Excellent communication skills and able to connect with all levels in the business
- Effective organisational skills; able to prioritise tasks and self-manage a workload
- Friendly, approachable, and professional
