REED Scientific are representing a leading innovator in therapeutic antibody discovery. The company has established partnerships with numerous biotech and biopharma companies from around the world.

**About the Job**

The role is to progress projects in the engineering and development of single and multispecific VHH antibodies. You will take accountability for the manufacture and developability testing of multi-specifics, including construct design supported by senior colleagues.You will demonstrate technical skill and expertise in protein production and purification across different projects, rigorous scientific experimental design, execution, and interpretation of data. You will also collaborate and share knowledge with colleaguesand provide constructive input to the wider team.
Most of your time will be lab-based alongside some office-based planning and reporting on programmes.

**Essential skills/Experience**:

- Molecular biology design and construction in prokaryotic and eukaryotic expression vectors.
- Expression and purification from E. coli.
- Expression and purification from CHO/HEK293 cells, including transfection.
- Chromatography experience using size exclusion, affinity resins, and ion exchange.
- PhD or equivalent experience demonstrating research independence.
- 2 years working to defined timelines and clear deliverables, such as an industrial setting.
- Rigorous data interpretation and attention to detail
