The home is a 3 bedded Children’s Home which will provide 3 residential placements for children between the ages of 7 to 17.

**Role Overview**

The Role is responsible for supporting the Registered Manager in all aspects of the management of our new home in accordance with our commitment to Safeguarding and in line with our policies, procedures and all relevant regulations including Ofsted and the Children's Homes Regulations.

**Your tasks**

▪ Work as part of the management team to ensure the welfare of young people meeting the child's health, social and educational needs ▪ Implement appropriate safeguarding policies and procedures

▪ Implement all aspects of the home statement of purpose and function

▪ Work as part of the management team to support and lead the team in the delivery of high-quality child centred practice

▪ Promote positive multi-agency relationships including building relationships with the local community

▪ Implement care plans and support packages

▪ Promote professional development of staff, carry out staff supervisions and assist in the assessment of training needs.

▪ Preparing reports and attending a range of meetings, i.e. review meetings with multi-agency partners

▪ Overseeing the day-to-day running of the home including managing the staff team

▪ Ensuring staff rotas are drawn-up and meet the needs of the home

▪ Responsibility for daily budgeting and working within budgetary guidelines

▪ Any other duties as may be necessary

▪ Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the young people in care

▪ Ensure the provision of a planned and stimulating environment.

▪ To actively promote and support Flourish Policies on Equal Opportunities and to work in an anti-oppressive manner

**Your profile**

▪ Essential that you have worked for two of the last 5 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children.

▪ Essential that hold the Level 3 diploma in residential childcare or equivalent

▪ Knowledge and understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted

▪ Experience in managing and developing staff.

▪ Proven ability to have a positive and sensitive approach when working with young people.

▪ Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the task at hand. ▪ Effective communication skills both verbally and written.

▪ Excellent IT skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
