Wellbeing Support Worker

HMP Littlehey is a Category C prison situated in the picturesque village of Perry in Cambridgeshire and has free parking and on site gymnasium and restaurant.. The prison accommodates 1200 adult male prisoners.

To work as part of the Healthcare team, providing support to prisoners/patients and the healthcare team, ensuring safe working practice in a secure environment in accordance with the Prison Healthcare Standard, Prison Service rules and Prison service Standing Orders.
The post holder will work in close liaison with other disciplines within the prison setting and with external agencies in meeting the holistic needs of the patients.
The post holder will be fully integrated within a team of multi-disciplinary individuals including mental health and primary care.
The role will involve working at times without direct supervision, undertaking delegated tasks relating to the wellbeing and health management of residents and reporting back to the qualified staff.
To post holder will actively participate in the ongoing development of positive working relationships with officers and staff throughout the prison.
They will be involved in health promotion, provision of wellbeing services, monitoring and follow ups and patients’ engagement process’s.
