Apprentice Sports Coach

If you a school/college leaver and are passionate about sports coaching and enjoy helping athletes reach their full potential, we would love to hear from you.

The role involves assisting with the running of morning / afternoon clubs and assisting Head / Lead coaches in club evening session.

As with previous apprentices we like to see what each person enjoys doing and look to fit them into the areas of the business that they enjoy the most.

**At Twist & Flip Gymanstics you will be doing**:

- Getting paid to do something you love
- Assisting and coaching sport and physical activity sessions in PE gymnastics lessons and academy sessions
- Making a positive difference in your community
- Support the Academy in hosting competitions, festivals and other events where possible
- Assist with the running of before and/or after school clubs
- Assist lead coaches in Academy sessions building confident children and progress them through there gymnastic journey

**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end**
- Community Activator Coach Level 2 Standard
- Tailored, on-site training
- Functional Skills in maths and English, if required
- They deliver a flexible, blended learning experience, using technology and face-to-face support to engage the apprentice and provide a positive learning experience

**Desired Skills**

This is an apprenticeship programme, designed to help you gain skills and experience ‘on the job.’ We aren’t looking for any previous coaching qualifications or experience but certain personal qualities and characteristics are a must (see below) Successful applicants will be assisting and delivering sport and physical activity sessions in the community. Your sessions may be the highlight of their week
- so you will need to be reliable, enthusiastic, energetic and committed

**Personal qualities**

You must be enthusiastic about wanting to work within the sport and physical activity sector and be committed to inspiring others to be more physically active.

No prior coaching experience is required, but a willingness to learn, work hard and challenge yourself is essential.

**About us**

We are a family run business that has been running for 12 years. We deliver Gymnastics to local primary schools on breakfast & out of school clubs, PE lessons. We also run the annual Key Steps competition along with festivals for those.

Our evening and weekend sessions offer gymnastics for all not matter on age or ability, we also work closely with all disabilities and downs syndrome group.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: £5.50-£6.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
