Here at Edge Worldwide Logistics, we have a fantastic opportunity for motivated and career minded individual to join our team in Grimsby, as an International Freight Forwarding Apprentice

A Freight Forwarder is responsible for the international movement of cargo on behalf of its customers and work with multiple carriers to move goods from one country to another.

Typical week will involve the below:

- One day focusing on your qualification.
- Four days working in operations. This will involve shadowing and general admin tasks related to that role.

Training and Qualification Details:
Level 3 International Freight Forwarding Specialist apprenticeship standard - Ocean Freight Pathway / Road Freight Pathway or Airfreight Pathway
- On the job training.
- Apprentices without Level 2 in English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end point assessment. Learners who have not yet achieved will be supported by a functional skills tutor alongside the apprenticeship.
- Allocation of an apprenticeship delivery coach who will carry out regular training.
- Assessment and support visits to ensure you acquire new learning, knowledge skills and behaviours in order to progress and develop.
- Identify, track and support 20% off the job training activities.
- Quarterly formal progress review meetings, identifying learning achievements and next steps.

Once you have completed your apprenticeship, there will be many pathways your career could take. This includes operational roles, or perhaps a position within sales or in our overseas offices.
