**You are required to be in the office 3 to 4 days a week**

**Job Purpose**:
To provide a confidential and effective administrative, secretarial and project support role to the
(Director/Assistant Director) or such other senior manager within the Directorate/Council as may be
determined.

**MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES**

1. To provide confidential, personal administrative support to the (Director/Assistant Director) including
answering telephone enquiries, diary management, arrangement of meetings, prioritising and

2. To contribute to the development of effective (Director/Assistant Director) business partnerships, both
internal and external, through establishing good customer relationships and by delivering high quality
support services

3. To support the (Director/Assistant Director) in the co-ordination and direction of corporate and/or
directorate tasks and activities.

4. To induct, develop, co-ordinate and monitor Administration Team/Administrative Officers/Clerical
Officers and Business Administration Modern Apprentices as appropriate) as required.

5. To undertake project work and assist in the preparation of research material and collation of data as
required.

6. To set up and maintain electronic and manual filing systems and procedures to support the
(Director/Assistant Director and Senior Manager) and to ensure data quality and accuracy.

7. To respond to routine telephone & written enquiries on behalf of the directorate as appropriate.

8. To undertake word processing of documents and producing presentations.

9. To attend meetings, take minutes, circulate documents and follow up action as required.

**Experience**:

- Providing PA and office management services to a Senior Manager.
- Working effectively with senior managers, elected Members or equivalent.
- Developing and managing computerised and manual systems including diary management.
- Experience of inducting, managing and developing staff
