**About us**

An excellent opportunity has become available for an Accounts Senior to join our small but busy team based in Leicester, in a role with increasing responsibility and an opportunity to develop client relationships whilst progressing in your career.

As an Accounts Senior you will be working to produce annual statutory accounts and corporation tax computations and returns for limited companies for a wide variety of clients.

You will help with the supervision and development of junior staff, assisting them with any queries they may have whilst also being responsible for managing and prioritising your own workload.

**Responsibilities**:

- Preparation of annual statutory accounts and tax computations for a wide variety of clients, working within a budget agreed at the planning stage.
- Clear queries with clients and produce a list of discussion points for the senior managers or partner.
- Developing and mentoring junior staff.
- Monthly/quarterly management accounts.
- Assisting with VAT returns and bookkeeping when required.
- Professionally represent the firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice is essential.
- Experience as an Accounts Senior is preferred, but not essential.
- Good understanding of FRS102 accounting standards for small companies.
- Knowledge of CCH is preferred but not essential.
- Experience of working with online accountancy packages including SAGE, Xero and QuickBooks is essential.
- Skills in Microsoft word, Excel and outlook are essential.
- Experience of prioritising and managing your own workload.

**Qualifications**:

- ACCA or ACA qualified, part qualified or studying towards ACCA will be considered as qualifications are not essential, we are looking for substantial experience for this role.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
