**Commercial Finance Manager**
**Ellesmere Port - Hybrid Working**
**£60K + bonus**

A high growth, Private Equity backed business based in Ellesmere Port, currently have a newly created position for a Commercial Finance Manager to join them.

Reporting into the Group FC you will be the Commercial lead of the business, integrating finance with the business and playing a lead role in improving current processes and MI reporting. Once bedded into the business you will then be working closely withthe commercial teams, supporting them with tenders and MI to improve profitability.
You will also be working on some key projects such as revenue recognition and capex.

**As Commercial Finance Manager your role will involve**:

- Improving the current processes and MI reporting (revenue recognition etc) working closely with the project managers/operations to move more of this reporting back into Finance
- Working with the commercial teams around costings and support for tender process, improving profitability
- Largely Excel drive currently, have used BI tools in the past and this person will lead on this as move forward
- Working closely with the Group Financial Controller, take full ownership of monthly revenue recognition and revenue and gross profit re-forecasting
- Simplify/Streamline processes for revenue recognition and integrate fully into the finance team
- Track project billing and forecast future billing to ensure cashflow and deferred income are accurately calculated
- Work closely with project managers to ensure that you have an in-depth knowledge of the day-to-day challenges and developments on projects and ensure that this is properly reflected in revenue recognition
- Monitor project performance ensuring that profitability is optimised
- Work closely with the commercial director to ensure projects are correctly costed, developing a quoting tool and support the team throughout the sales process
- Provide Revenue and gross profit inputs to the annual budgeting process and for monthly re forecasting

**Role requirements**
- Must be a qualified accountant
- Strong communication skills is key in this role as will reach across the business
- Strong commercial experience
- A proven track record of working within a project-based business - understanding of project revenue recognition timing.
- Advanced excel skills and able to build complex models
- Strategic and critical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills
- Good project management skills
- Able to analyse the trends of KPIs.
- Develop financial models and analyse them to support strategic initiatives
- Support management team with data-driven analysis
