An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Administrator to join Griffins. The role includes the preparation of annual reports, six month case reviews and dealing with various other statutory and case administration duties which fall due on personal and corporate insolvency cases. The role will also include reviewing and administering the closure of insolvency cases.

The role will suit someone who has some administrative experience and strong attention to detail who is looking to pursue a career in insolvency.

We are open to discussing remote and hybrid working options as part of the interviewing process.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

The role will consist of the following:

- Preparing annual reports, case reviews and dealing with other statutory duties.
- Ensuring all tasks and cases are administered in compliance with the insolvency legislation, and the Partnership’s internal compliance procedures and deadlines.
- Maintaining the IPS case diary.
- Communicating with creditors, solicitors and agents.
- Preparing estate account journals and cheque requisitions.
- Ensuring that case bonds are in place and adjusted when necessary.
- Reviewing own reports and written work for accuracy, grammar and commerciality prior to passing for approval.
- Ensuring that dividends are notified, admitted, calculated and paid within the required time frame, using the case checklist and adhering to IPS diary prompts at all times.
- Ensuring that creditors committees are correctly formed.
- Ensuring that reports are issued to the committee in a timely manner.
- Undertaking any and all administrative tasks necessary to effect the efficient management of each case.
- Ensuring initial statutory tasks as per the IPS diary and post-appointment case checklist are completed following appointment on new case.
- Reviewing cases passed for closure to make sure that everything has been completed according to the insolvency rules and the Partnership’s internal compliance procedures.
- Completing all outstanding issues on cases passed for closure, including making dividend distributions to all types of creditors.
- Preparing final financial statements, estimated outcome statements, analysis of costs and realisations and submissions to the court, the Insolvency Service and to Companies House.
- Reporting to the CPT manager on a regular basis to update them on closing progression and any compliance issues encountered.
- Travelling to clients'/intermediaries' offices where necessary.
- Maintaining up to date technical knowledge in respect of Insolvency legislation and best practice.
- Ensuring that all case management is recorded in line with internal requirements on the appropriate case management systems and case records are promptly filed.
- Undertaking a regular review of and pro-actively managing upcoming and present tasks, diary lines and workflows and working in advance of deadlines to ensure tasks do not go overdue.
- Ensuring timesheets are submitted on time and are compliant with the Partnership’s standards.

**Knowledge and experience**

A good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel is essential. MS OneNote would be beneficial.

Prior experience of administering a portfolio of insolvency cases would be beneficial, as would experience of using IPS.

Prior experience of using an electronic filing system/ document management system would also be beneficial.

**Skills required**

- be able to work to set deadlines when preparing reports, legal bundles and documents.
- be able to actively manage and progress tasks to completion.
- be able to analyse the facts of a particular case, or scenario and understand the key issues in relation to a case.
- be able to produce clear correspondence and reports including long form and bullet point narrative for reports. Be able to draft comprehensive file notes of meetings and calls, maintaining clear audit trails.
- be able to deal with lawyers, third parties, colleagues in a way that encourages them to respond positively.
