We are seeking a highly-skilled and professional Head of Estate Services /Hard FM to manage building maintenance and grounds and gardens across our dispersed portfolio of approximately 30 dispersed sites, including inpatient wards and community services. The Head of Estate Services/Hard FM will be responsible for staff, financial and service performance matters with an annual budget of approximately £5million.

- To manage the Trust's operational Hard FM services across its circa 30 dispersed premises, (including reactive work, planned maintenance and minor works contracts), ensuring compliance with statutory and mandatory requirements, including fire safety-related issues and that appropriate standards and specifications are met.
- Provide appropriate, specialist knowledge, technical and professional advice on all Hard FM issues working with directly-managed services, other Trust services and other NHS organisations as required, e.g. engineering installation design and very occasionally undertaking design work, if appropriate.
- Responsible, under the guidance of the externally-appointed expert Authorised Engineer, for the appointment, management and co-ordination of authorised person (AP) and responsible person (RP).

- Responsible for maintenance service key performance indicators, including planned preventative (PPM) and reactive maintenance projects and associated activities.
- Acts as the Trust’s ‘Responsible Person' or ‘Authorised Person’ in areas such as Water, LV Electrical Installations, Ventilation or Lifts.
- Acts, in conjunction with the externally-appointed expert Authorised Engineers, as the Trust's internal Technical Advisor in respect of legislation and current guidance, such as HTMs and is responsible for implementing the actions arising out of the annual Authorised Engineer Audits.
- Responds to any estate maintenance services-related emergencies requiring specific interventions in their capacity as a leader and advisor, with only very infrequent and incidental use of tools in support of the maintenance team, who lead on the intervention and direct work.
- Lead for arranging and participating in the estates maintenance management on call rota.
