In your role as a Technical Executive you will provide specialist support to clients, IFAs and colleagues on complex elements of their SSAS. This could include property transactions, lending, payments of pension benefits and other matters.

You will not be required to advise people relating to their pension schemes but it will be necessary to have a combination of interpersonal skills and financial knowledge to perform the role effectively.

Attention to detail is extremely important you will be required to do a lot of precise administration.

As part of the Whitehall Benefits Team your functions will include

▪ Processing retirements

▪ Handling pension member death benefit payments

▪ Handling pension sharing orders

▪ Calculating Pension Commencement Lump Sums

▪ Calculating scheme specific lump sums

▪ Processing fund split calculations

▪ Lifetime Allowance calculations

▪ Age 75 Lifetime Allowance Test

▪ Capped Draw Down reviews

As part of the Whitehall Property Team your functions will include

▪ All SSAS property management duties

▪ Property purchase and sale

▪ Pension scheme borrowing

▪ VAT registration and deregistration

▪ Quarterly VAT returns

▪ Opting To Tax

▪ Rent arrears

▪ Reporting unauthorised payments

As part of the Whitehall Lending Team your functions will include

▪ Loans to sponsoring employers

▪ 3rd Party loans

▪ Handling loans arears

▪ Reporting unauthorised payments

▪ Calculating early repayments

▪ Loan rollovers

In all Whitehall Technical Executive roles your functions will include

▪ Handling any complex pension scheme investments, unquoted equity and other esoteric investments

▪ Drafting deeds

▪ Handling technical scheme correspondence

▪ Handling complex pension scheme disinvestments and sales

▪ Processing in-specie contributions and in-specie transfers-in and transfers-out

▪ Processing some pension scheme payments

▪ Handling pension scheme takeovers and EPP conversions

▪ Answering telephones

▪ Liaising with banks, insurance companies, investment providers and HMRC for investment registration, changing signatories, obtaining valuations etc

▪ Liaising with IFAs, accountants and other business introducers regarding their clients

▪ Issuing standard reminder letters

▪ Filing Pension Scheme Returns

▪ Filing Event Reports

▪ Filing Accounting for Tax Returns

▪ Updating the back office systems with information and ensuring accuracy of all records and files

▪ Attending client/IFA meetings on the company premises

▪ Following procedures where relevant and provided

▪ Supporting other staff via formal and informal training

▪ Supporting your own personal development including updating your knowledge on industry and legislative changes

▪ Reporting any operational risks to the Directors

Your functions may include

▪ Updating internal procedures when required

▪ Updating standard documents when required

▪ Greeting clients when they visit the company premises

▪ Any other work as requested by the Directors

Your role will largely be technical in nature and involve working closely with your Account Executive colleagues ensuring our clients are supported in any complex matters. You will need excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.

It will be a part of your job to liaise with other organisations to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory aspects of pension administration. Although you will be mainly office based in order to provide customer service you may be required to attend external presentations in order to keep up to date with pension and industry legislation if so required.

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
