Cheshire Cupcakes has an exciting opportunity as our business and team is expanding as we open our new shop in the Market Quarter in Altrincham this August We are looking for part-time baristas who are experienced and passionate about cake, coffee and people to join our team.

This position is offered on a permanent basis working 2-4 days per week from Wednesday to Sunday.

To prepare and serve artisan coffee, iced drinks and freshly baked cake ensuring a high level of customer service and cleanliness is provided in line with Company standards.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve high-quality artisan coffee, tea and other cold beverages with exceptional quality
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained
- Ensure efficient and friendly customer service at all times so customers leave happy and excited about their next visit
- Take customer orders and serve food and drinks accurately and efficiently
- Communicate with customers to ensure that their needs are met, and address any concerns or complaints in a professional and courteous manner
- Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, and maintain accurate records of all transactions
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and restocking
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, and ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of one year experience as a Barista
- Ability to prepare and serve high-quality artisan coffee, tea, and other hot/cold beverages, preferably in a fast paced environment
- Exceptional knowledge of various coffee brewing techniques
- Proficient in using espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a clean and organised workspace
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines, and the ability to follow health and safety procedures
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Passion for the food and beverage industry, with a willingness to learn and grow in the role
