Our client seeks to appoint a temporary communications professional with experience in internal communications strategy, communicating change and providing strategic guidance to senior leaders. You will be a creative communicator, who puts engagement andcommunicating with purpose at the forefront of your work to ensure everyone feels empowered, supported, and has a voice.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Provide guidance to colleagues on internal communications implementation, ensuring that tactical delivery reflects the aims and objective of institutional strategy
- Develop internal communications plan focusing on staff engagement with new institutional strategy
- Oversee all contributions to internal and stakeholder communications activity to ensure consistency, timeliness and correct messaging. This includes overseeing the annual roadmap of internal communications and engagement so that messages are not competingor briefing against the brand narrative
- Devise new and creative communications channels, tactics and change interventions to engage with colleagues and other internal stakeholders, ensuring messages are embedded and colleagues feel adequately supported and updated
- To measure the effectiveness of internal and stakeholder communications through satisfaction and engagement and provide reports on progress, revising tactics when necessary
- To oversee the effective use of internal cascades and team meetings so managers and colleagues are informed of organisational decisions and the role they play in supporting any changes
- To write presentations, articles for senior internal stakeholders
- To comply with data protection legislation and act responsibly on matters of data disclosure both internally and to third parties

**Knowledge, Experience & Skills**
- Educated to degree level or possess equivalent professional experience
- Substantial, demonstrable experience in both internal and member (or other stakeholder) communications
- Evidence of providing strategic counsel to colleagues on internal communications delivery and best practice
- Experience in formulating creative and inspiring internal and stakeholder communications campaigns
- Experience of leading communications and engagement activities supporting high level change programmes
- Highly IT literate with strong experience of social media
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Experience of organising events
- Strong evidence of using initiative and delivering results to a high standard
- Experience in commissioning a range of colleagues to create internal communications content to time and quality desired
- Highly personable and able to communicate professionally and confidently with colleagues in various departments and at all levels, including the Chief Executive and the senior executive team
- Experience of strategic analysis, leading to evidenced based recommendations
