**The role**:
University of Bristol Business School is recruiting two Student Success Advisor (SSA) roles as part of a University-wide pilot to test different approaches to the Personal Tutoring model. The SSA posts will be a highly visible presence within the School, working with colleagues and students to ensure all undergraduate students flourish during their time at Bristol. They will provide support and guidance to students to ensure they have the best opportunity to achieve their educational goals. They will support the engagement and progression of students and play a pivotal role in promoting student success throughout their academic programme. The postholder will provide expert advice and support in the development of employability and skills sessions for students which may change and evolve over time, collaborating with school staff and students to develop sessions, services, or opportunities to support the success of students.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Act as first point of contact for undergraduate students
- Develop students’ academic skills and confidence
- Create a supportive culture
- Provide support to students undertaking University processes

You have a_ s_ubstantial relevant professional experience in working with students in a post-16 environment, with a detailed knowledge of Higher Education academic processes and regulations relating to undergraduate students. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of student needs and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, both within the Business School and the University community.
