Join us as a Climate Reporting and Communication Lead
- We've set a bold ambition to address the climate challenge by achieving our goal of being net zero by 2050
- You'll be responsible for leading a small team to report on our climate goals for our own operations, while working with stakeholders to deliver reporting and commit to our climate plans
- This is your opportunity to take on a key role in the Senior Leadership team and influence our overall strategy and associated commitments for our own climate operation

**What you'll do**:
Day-to-day, you'll lead our carbon accounting and reporting for scopes one and two and relevant scope three (cat one - fourteen) operational emissions to demonstrate how our bank is meeting its reporting and disclosure requirements on climate and environmental issues to drive progress across our bank.

Alongside this, you'll manage the production of monthly internal climate-related metrics, while compiling monthly dashboard reports to enable a self-service ownership of target achievement. You'll also ensure our compliance with legislation, while benchmarking against peers and our climate ambitions.

Your top priorities will include:

- Managing climate performance and requirements communications and supporting sustainability reports and queries from customers and investors
- Developing sustainability content that highlights our achievements to engage our stakeholders on climate commitments for our operational programme
- Delivering annual climate data reporting requirements for our bank's operational footprint, including TCFD, SECR, CDP and other investor and stakeholder indices
- Engaging key data owners to improve our data quality and ensure the reporting of our greenhouse gas emissions in alignment to reporting standards and international standards for reporting emissions
- Overseeing internal and external auditors to ensure our data is robust and independently verified to carbon standards and frameworks, such as ISO14064-1

**The skills you'll need**:
To be successful in this role, you'll have a background in climate and a focus on data analysis, carbon reduction strategies, industry trends and executive engagement. As well as this, you'll have experience of carbon accounting, carbon reduction strategy, target setting and annual disclosure reporting.

In addition, you'll be a member of an appropriate professional institution and have knowledge of ESG reporting protocols, standards and frameworks, like Greenhouse Gas protocol, SASB, TCFD, DJSI and CDP.

Furthermore, you'll need:

- Experience of analysing data and creating clear management information to inform decisions
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to build good relationships and influence stakeholders of all levels
- An understanding of how to work successfully in a complex matrix structured organisation
- A great work ethic to overcome complexity
