**Aftercare Operative**

**(North West)**

Eric Wright Construction work in a variety of sectors including hi-rise residential city apartments, Educational, City Regeneration and Health, schemes that range from £5m to £45m+. We’re looking for an Aftercare Operative to join our growing team.

**The role**

To perform perform defect repairs to a high standard, along with carrying out day-to-day checks and procedures, ensuring excellent client relationship is maintained at all times. Reporting to the Aftercare Manager you will provide a professional post completion defects rectification service to clients, with particular responsibility for the residential units in Manchester. The role will require you to be on call (24-hour call out - seven days per week) on a rotation basis (one week per month).

Your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Responding to reported defects on completed projects, identifying the cause and party responsible
- Undertaking temporary or permanent repairs of a minor nature
- Arranging for EWC supply chain to return and undertake defects rectification works
- Working and coordinating with Clients representative and occupiers successfully
- Coordinate and carry out defect rectification work
- Order plant and materials where necessary to facilitate repairs.
- Must be able to accommodate being on 24 hour call at shared periods of time.
- Attending meeting and providing written updates as and when required

It is **essential** that you have a CSCS qualification and Construction Industry knowledge, ideally from a trade background (plumber / joiner). It goes without saying that you have excellent communication skills both oral and written and can confidentially converse with clients and customers with ease. It would be beneficial if you have previous Facilities Management knowledge. You will be IT conversant in particular working with Microsoft Office programmes. Finally, you will enjoy working in a fast pace environment and working as part of a team.
