36.25 hours a week either 8-4 or 9-5 5 days a week.

across Northampton, Rugby and Bedford

MUST be a driver with own vehicle

initially 12 weeks but could be extended

ROLE PURPOSE

To provide a localized handy person service to sheltered and extra care schemes within a region. The handy person will support the customers by completing small repairs in and around the customers home that customers have responsibility for, and which may affect their safety, security and comfort while living in the scheme.

ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSBILITIES
- To assist and encourage residents in completing minor repairs and jobs in the home, and deal with day to day maintenance issues across Independent Living schemes and the wider community.
- To be responsible for providing a high standard cleaning service to communal areas in blocks including lifts, stairwells, floors, walls and windows. To maintain clear, tidy and safe refuse areas such as bin stores, chute rooms and hoppers, following specific cleaning specifications and standards.
- To be responsible for reporting faults and repairs, situations concerning anti-social activity, fly tipping as seen on the estates to the CSC.
- To undertake external work within schemes and customer's properties.
- Ensure accurate records are kept and all allocated work is completed to a high standard within a timely manner.
- Assist other members of the Independent Living team with Health and Safety checks and other scheme-based tasks, ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
