Our Turning Point Scotland Services in **Glasgow Housing Support** are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.

The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.

As a Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.

The Glasgow Housing Support Service is an abstinence-based project that provides temporary supported accommodation for 10 individuals aged over 18 years experiencing homelessness with a previous history of Substance misuse and who are currently addressing these issues.

Our main aims are to support individuals with housing support issues such as budgeting, tenancy management and social skills all of which are essential for resettling and maintaining mainstream housing. To link in with recovery services such as recovery cafes, fellowship, community recovery cafes and recovery hubs. We also assist individuals to access permanent housing, education, employment, confidence building, and link in with recovery community.

We work closely with multiple agencies in assisting in the recovery of our service users.

We are located in the Maryhill area of Glasgow. The Service is staffed by teams of dedicated multi-skilled individuals who provide person centred support for the rehabilitation and recovery of each individual. The service is staffed on a 24 hour, 7 day per week rota system.
