Estate property services, maintenance provider and facilities support department to tenants, clients and staff. Ensuring operations continue seamlessly 7 days a week. We respond to reactive requests, have planned schedules of duties and work strategically with stakeholders across the business.

**About the Role**

We are looking for a Maintenance Officer who has an eye for detail and who will pay attention to the little tasks that don't take long but make a location shine and deliver best in service customer care. You must be willing to put in initiative when needed, like fixing things you see in need of repair before it becomes a major concern.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and across a multi-site portfolio
- Carry out various reactive and planned maintenance tasks in a professional manner
- A good level of technical experience and knowledge in a diverse environment for buildings and facilities maintenance, undertaking activities and support for building, maintenance, plumbing, and other areas of work
- Perform minor repairs such as replacing broken locks, washers on taps, filling gaps on walls etc to a high standard
- Leave properties in good order following repairs including performing cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc
- Undertake internal and external repairs within the set time frames
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
- Install appliances and equipment
- If required undertake garden / yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (eg ventilation)
- Check functionality of safety systems (eg fire alarm)
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
- Report any issues to the Maintenance Manager
- Assist where required with works and record keeping of statutory compliance and insurance reporting carried out on the Estate
- Where requested, monitor and inspect works undertaken by contractors to ensure they are completed to a satisfactory standard
- Undertake property inspections where required and ensure any concerns are recorded and reported to the Maintenance Manager
- Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to

The role will be primarily based at Bolesworth Castle, although there will be a need to travel to properties on the Estate.

**Experience, Skills, Personal Characteristics**
- Knowledge of reactive maintenance and minor building works is essential
- Qualifications within a trade relevant to facility maintenance are desirable
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Flexible and adaptable approach to all situations to meet the requirements of a continually changing and developing business
- Must have good communication skills and a customer focussed approach
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Health and Safety at work, manual handling
- Physical stamina and dexterity as this can be a physically demanding role
- Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, visitors and contractors in a range of situations and will have a flexible approach to working hours
- A full UK driving licence
- Due to the nature of this role you must be able to work the occasional weekend, and some unsociable hours, as required.
