Are you an experienced and confident driver looking for a part-time position with hours offered on a zero hours contract? We are looking for someone who has experience in a similar role to accompany and chaperone pupils to appointments (Doctor, Dentist, other Clinics) and hospital visits, providing adequate supervision and ensuring that a high degree of well-being and safety is maintained at all times.

As a Pupil Chaperone you will be solely responsible for the pupils effective care, well-being and safety for the duration of the time in your vehicle and external appointment, until they are returned to a member of the School Health Centre staff. It is essential that the Pupil Chaperone is seen by the pupils as an approachable, helpful and empathetic person.

You will be reliable and able to work on your own initiative. It is important to be able to remain on schedule and provide an excellent service to our pupils. You will need to have your own vehicle with a full, clean driving licence and business use insurance.

Once on-boarded, work as an Exam Invigilator will also be available.

Downside is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged 11 to 18, and one of England's oldest and most distinguished Catholic schools. The School is situated at the foot of the Mendip Hills, twelve miles south of the city of Bath.

**Contractual Details**

Pay: £10.58 per hour plus holiday pay and 45p per mile for personal car use

Hours: Casual hours

Contract: Zero hours contract of engagement
