We are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist to join Derby Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service.

Derby Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service is a partnership service that provides an integrated health service for Derby City residents who identify a substance misuse related need.

Our approach embeds the notion of health, well-being and recovery.

The post holder will be part of Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust substance misuse team (Derby City) offering a combination of face to face, telephone and/ or digital therapy as part of their role.

The post holder will work with patients who have a range of complex issues alongside support for their substance misuse problems; the post holder will work in a trauma informed way.

Provide Psychotherapy for a caseload of patients who are receiving ongoing substance misuse support, experience complex mental health difficulties, and have experienced childhood trauma/adversity.

Utilise a combination approach of CBT, DBT and EMDR therapies to tailor fit according to patient needs. Identified therapeutic input to be considerate of substance misuse progress and current identified needs.

Patients may be at different stages of recovery and therefore some patients may be continuing to take illicit drugs.

Work closely with other members of the team ensuring appropriate step-up and step-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach.

Provide ad hoc and structured supervision to staff in the service as required.
