**Lead User Experience Designer**
£52,000 to £62,000 plus excellent benefits (Work Level 5)
Manchester city centre (hybrid working)

We’re looking for a Lead User Experience Designer to join us in Manchester to help shape our range of digital products and services. In this role, you’ll sit within our Shared Digital Services area, focusing mainly on our Membership proposition. Membership is at the heart of Co-op and it’s an exciting time to join as we look to improve the experience our members have with us.

**What you’ll do**
- Lead the end-to-end design process across multiple teams
- Produce accessible design solutions based on user behaviour, data, and research
- Make sure our products and services are designed to meet our customer’s needs, as well as being accessible to everyone and balanced with business requirements
- Collaborate with teams across the wider business to identify themes, similarities, and opportunities for improvement
- Define and measure quantitative UX goals and metrics in collaboration with designers, analysts, and product managers
- Mentor and line manage designers and support their professional development

**This role would suit people who have**
- Experience in an Interaction Designer or similar role
- An understanding of web technologies (e.g. HTML and CSS)
- The ability to lead a digital design process on large-scale, from concept through to delivery
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain the value of intricate design decisions to colleagues with limited deign experience
