Due to expediential growth in our business, we have an exciting opportunity and are recruiting for a **Grounds Maintenance Operative** who has a can-do attitude who will join our existing team based in **Bromsgrove.**

Nurture provides landscape maintenance teams at some of the UK's most prestigious commercial centres as well as some of the most iconic public spaces. We strive to maintain landscapes to complement both their environment and the character of each venue.

**Job Purpose**

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of many of our sites as an integral part of the Landscaping Team. You will be expected to operate the required tools and machinery, check the health of plants by identifying pests and/or diseases, strimming, spraying, shrub pruning and general gardening operate required tools and machinery. You must be able to demonstrate an interest in horticultural together with some horticultural skills and experience - ideally from within a similar environment.

**Skills and experiences**:

- Passionate about the **environment** with a keen eye for detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to confidently work independently
- Spraying Certificates - **NPTC PA1 & PA6 **preferable, but not essential
- Experience with using petrol two-stroke grass/hedge cutting equipment is preferable, but not essential
- Experience with **ride on** grass-cutting equipment and **tractor **driving is preferable but not essential
- Flexible in approach to work and willing to work outside in all weathers
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential

**Nurture Landscapes** specialises in grounds maintenance, winter gritting and interior and exterior plant display services, mainly to the corporate sector.

**Gavin Jones** provide landscape construction services to a wide variety of clients across the UK, working alongside landscape architects, designers and main contractors. They also provide grounds maintenance services to military sites and public open spaces and are proud holders of the Royal Warrant.

**Rokill** provide pest control services to both commercial and domestic customers as well as the public sector. They hold the Royal Warrant and are of the UK’s leading pest control companies.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

Pay: £12.00 per hour
